Glass is a material that has been known for over 9000 years. We use this ancient, yet timeless, product to make modern and innovative architectural signage.
For most applications, we use Tempered Safety Glass (TSG): TSG is a fully thermically pre-stressed type of glass. It exhibits residual stress characteristics: core tensile stress and surface compression stress. It has high flexural tensile strength and when destroyed leaves crumb-like fragments. For smaller plates we use normal flat glass (untempered).
Depending on the inscription method and the content, the signage elements are either single pane or constructed from two or more layers of glass plates, pressed together in a sandwich manner.
For dark or structured backgrounds, we recommend the usage of Satinato Glass. Satinato Glass is caustic etched and provides a neutral background while still allowing light to pass through the glass. According to the requirements, we can satinate glass, using the ceramic printing method, partially or fully to achieve visual emphasis for the content or as content dividers.
Glass cutting, sandblasting, mirroring and mirrormasking as well as some very interesting applications using "spy"glass are also available.
